Cute style for people you love in paper and on wood by Gabriella Buckingham.
Moobaacluck is personal. Everything I make is designed with you in mind.
When you want to give a present to someone you love - a family member or a best friend, you give it thought. Commissioning something from Moobaacluck or ordering a card with your own words on the front shows how much you care.
I hand paint each wooden shape to make something perfect for a special occasion in your friend’s life. Maybe you’re getting married and you want to give your bridesmaids a keepsake of the day to say thank you or invite your best friend to be your maid of honour with a personalised card? Or a teenager you know is about to take his driving test or has passed his GCSE's.
Each order is printed or painted to order and then packed by me. I offer a gift wrap service too which includes a hand finished tag threaded on ribbon around your parcel.
I began Moobaacluck when my children were toddlers after illustrating several children's books and hundreds of cards for other publishers. Now they are both at high school and I know how fast each year goes by. I aim to help you celebrate or remember important family occasions and those of close friends no matter what their age. If you see a shape or product that you can imagine as a gift for a celebration I haven't thought of please let me know as I can probably make one for you.
Moobaacluck loves soft bright colour; slightly quirky, whimsical characters and bold, expressive lettering that can state simple heart warming truths on cards and prints.
Origins of materials:
The wooden shapes I design are either laser cut in Scotland or cut by hand by a Norfolk craftsman using sustainable birch plywood of a variety of thicknesses. The wrapping paper is printed using vegetable inks in the UK. All the cards and prints I produce are printed in the home studio using a variety of FSC certified paper stock and the same archive quality inks throughout. The small selection of manufactured gifts are all made in Britain.
Moobaacluck has appeared in local and national Press : Norfolk Magazine; Homes and Antiques, The EDP Newspaper, Crafts Beautiful and Country Living Magazine. A member of ACID - Anti Copying in Design.
